I wanted to touch base with all of you regarding what’s been going on and some of the things behind the screen that have been causing it. First off, to all new readers here: Welcome! I’m glad to have you here, and I hope you find everything to your liking. There are plenty of stories, and many articles to read. I’m not an expert, by any means, but I am constantly looking deeper to discover what drives some to seek certain kinks, and what motivations they have for others. What I find, I write here, and it’s mostly to my understanding. So if anything I write contradicts your experiences, please keep this in mind.
My new day job has been incredibly fulfilling for me, and I absolutely love the people I work with. My French is getting better and better each day as I interact with my fellow employees and customers. However, I’m still feeling mentally and physically drained by the afternoon. I’m still working to write new posts on a regular basis, but it’s becoming a process. But all the cardio has been pretty good for me. I just need to reach a place where I still have energy after 3 pm.
If you haven’t heard about this already, it’s also that time of year where we cast our votes for the top sex bloggers of the year. There are many lists out there, including lists by Kinkly and Molly’s Daily Kiss. I made it to the top 100 of one, but not close enough to appear on others. Blogs are judged on a number of factors, including content, site design, navigation, personal touches, and sometimes, rankings. I noticed I’ve already been nominated for a couple lists, but honestly, I’m not sure this will be the year I appear on any top 100 lists. it hasn’t been a good year for my blog, and if I’m being honest, I still think I’m trying to find my identity as a writer. But I’m ok with that because next year is going to be better, I think.
I want to overhaul the entire site. Not just front-end, but for back-end as well. For the last 3 years, I’ve been using the basic tools of wordpress.com, as well as their hosting for my site. This coming year, I’d like to migrate away from WordPress completely into a new, stand-alone website. I’m getting a bit tired of the restrictions WordPress is giving me, and use something new that provides complete freedom of design. It’s going to take a while, so don’t expect this to happen any time too soon, but I’ll keep you all updated as new information becomes available.
Finally, for all those who have been reading or writing for #FantasySmutFriday, I’ll be creating a round-up post to celebrate the first year of this writing meme! This means every story submitted for this prompt will be collected in one place for all of you to enjoy! I want to thank everyone who took part and helped to turn it into a worthwhile project. It was pretty slow to start, but it’s slowly growing. So, thank you!
