Here we are once again! As we speak, Marie Rebelle of Rebel’s Notes is preparing to send off the first assignment of the 2020 Smut Marathon. For those of you new to this, the Smut Marathon is a year-long competition involving dozens of erotica and smut writers from all over the world, and from all walks of life, to come together and complete a series of writing challenges curated by Marie Rebelle herself. But it’s so much more than a competition.
Was there ever a person who crossed your path, and you regret not doing more during your time with them? Was there ever something the two of you wanted to do, but never got the chance? What if that missed connection crossed your path once more. What would you do now? Your story should include a person from the past coming back into your character’s life and getting the chance to complete some unfinished business.
How much are you willing to lay on the table for the sake of a gamble? Do you have the confidence to promise some sexy times in exchange? What happens if you win? What happens if you lose? Maybe a part of you wants to lose, just to have a reason to give yourself over to them. Your challenge is to create a story where a bet is made, and the stakes are smut-alicious!
The bodies of humans are beautiful creations! I’ve come to truly appreciate just how lovely every body type, every shape, every curve, every mark, and all combinations in between can be. But I also love color, expression, and imagination. I find enjoyment in seeing sexuality turned into an artful expression that makes every detail into a beautiful element to be appreciated. Thinking about it, several great examples come to mind. Some time ago, there was a fantastic artist on Twitter by the name of Tom Starling. It wasn’t tasteful nudes he wanted to capture, but raw sexuality that set your mind aflame.
I certainly intended to write this much sooner than I am now, but I’ve learned just how hectic work life can be around the holidays. Lots of picky eaters and entitled opinions about what I’m making. Seriously, nothing pisses off a chef more than someone insisting on ordering something off-menu. I barely even had the time to let my muscles recover after work! But that’s part of the reason I’m writing about this now. I’m looking back at the past year and reflecting on how much I have changed, and how my work has changed in the process.
It’s a fantasy many of us have, regardless of gender. Seeing the look of desire in a partner, or even a total stranger, building more and more as we reveal ourselves. Not just showing our bits, but also using our bodies to seduce them from afar. How thrilling would it be for your character’s first time? Who have they chosen to be the first eyes? Do they only get to watch, or does something more happen shortly following?
People make all sorts of resolutions for themselves when the new year begins. many of them end up failing, but the fact that you tried something new, and did it with a new attitude means you still have room to grow. For this prompt, your story should involve trying something beyond the norm, or perhaps trying something with an outlook wholly different than you were before.
One year and 52 prompts ago, I had an idea that was inspired by #WickedWednesday and #Storyin12. I thought about how some of my best writing was inspired by the intriguing fantasies that were shared with me and believed it could do the same for others. What was created that day was #FantasySmutFriday, and I…
We all have someone (or many someones) whom we see almost daily and wonder what it would be like if we could have them for ourselves if only for one night. Not always a neighbor, but sometimes a work associate, regular customer, or even a roommate. Tell me the tale of someone you’re OC has had their eye on for too long, and now wants to take things further.
As of writing this, I’m sitting here pondering the possibilities of the next #FantasySmutFriday prompt, and getting excited over the fact that it’s been one year since I started this meme, and managed to provide 52 total prompts based on common sexual fantasies. As I get ready to draft a roundup of all the submissions over the past year, I can’t help but think about how I managed to pull it off. And just to add more anxiety, I’m wondering how I’m going to do it again!
It’s closing time. Last-call was an hour ago, and the room is nearly empty. Who’s still around? An employee or two, maybe a patron. It’s usually at this time people make the wildest decisions with acquaintances and complete strangers alike. What crazy ideas can you come up with that will lead to some sexy, smutty times?
