Smut Marathon Round 5 Results and Going Forward

This round of the Smut Marathon wrapped up as of last night, and I woke up to the results just this morning. Round 5 of the Smut marathon closed with results looking somewhat sporadic as the points were distributed. In previous rounds, the points always looked somewhat focused as the judges often voted for the same people, even if not for the same number of points. However, with points spread out all over the place, it looked like the judges were a bit divided on what worked and what didn’t. A clear winner of the round was made, but runner-ups were cutting it pretty close to each other with some point differences as small as 0.2 points.

Smut Marathon Round 5 Voting

As of last night, the window for accepting new entries into Round 5 of the Smut Marathon closed, and as of today, the voting round has begun. As you may remember, Round 4 closed with a total of 30 writers moving on to this round. But due to things in life we can’t control, like other projects, family problems, or other issues as Marie Rebelle addressed, five writers have chosen to pull out of the competition. This now leaves 25 total entries left in the marathon. I wish all those who pulled out a bright blessing, and great success in their future endeavors.

Smut Marathon Round 4 Results and Moving Forward

This round of the Smut Marathon has been one of the most trying for many of us, I have to say. But the reason for this isn’t the tasks we were given, but because of what came after. Many took the feedback they received on their entries as a big hit to their self-esteem as a writer. I’ve been talking with several of the other writers all morning on Twitter as the feedback and results were released. It’s stirred me to take a step back and take a closer look at everything going on.

Smut Marathon Round 4 Voting!

This has been a tough one, I’ll have to admit. The concept behind this assignment for the Smut Marathon may have sounded easy to many of us when this began, but we soon realized just how difficult this would be in practice. On the 8th of April, the 39 of us that remained were tasked with a new assignment, which was as follows:

Write a hot, erotic masturbation scene where your character uses a sex toy.
One character. One sex toy. No brand names.

I want sizzling hot stories; stories that will make the readers want to wank!!!

Your masturbation scene is a maximum of 300 words.

Smut Marathon Round 3 results and Round 4

I’ll admit, this round was a bit of a doozy on all of us participating. The challenge, as you may remember, was for all of us to create a character sketch within no more than 200 words. This round began with 40 total entrants, and just barely closed with 39.

Smut Marathon Round 3 Voting!!

After a long entry period for the Round 3 assignment, the window for entries is closed, and the voting round has begun. Following all of my fellow entrants, I’ve watched as many¬†of them have scrambled to come up with a good story to enter. Given the standards by which our previous entries were judged, we were all justifiably worried about whether or not our work would stand out before the judges.

Smut Marathon Round 2 results and Round 3

As of yesterday, the second round of the Smut Marathon has come to a close. I admit I’ve been kind of bad this round. I failed to inform you about the voting period for this round, and that has probably cost some of you the opportunity to cast your votes, or even knowing that the entries were available.

Smut Marathon Round 1 Voting Begins

The Smut Marathon has just closed the entries on Round 1. Today marks the beginning of the voting round, which means it’s your time to participate. As the news has been made public, I can now reveal a couple things about the challenge of this round.

Begin The Smut Marathon!!

Good evening, readers! Last month, I learned of a competition for erotica writers. One that would take place over the course of an entire year, and I couldn’t help but sign my name up for it! Which is why you’ll be seeing my the new badge in the sidebar of this site. But now that sign-ups are over, and the details have been sent, allow me to share some of the details.
